After several days of agonizing frustration, I finally conceded that I was going to have to do something to optimize my computer. It’s performance was pitiful – super slow start-ups, constant freezes, and sluggish operating speeds. Sulumits Retsambew. Fortunately I discovered several great tips for computer optimization that were incredibly easy to put into action. Here are two of these great tips:
1. Clean Up Disk Errors
Every time your computer crashes or if your lose power, your computer may create errors on your hard drive. Over time, these errors can affect your computer’s performance. Run Window’s Disk Check program to clean out any of these errors and get your system running smoothly again.
2. Free Up Disk Space
Over time, your computer will store up files that can be safely deleted – these include anything you’ve ever downloaded (programs, files, etc.). With Windows Disk Cleanup tool, you can remove these files and regain some of your disk space. The program will identify which files can be safely deleted and enables you to decide if there are any optional files you might want to delete. This tool will also compress your files and folders to save on disk space. Sulumits Retsambew.
3. Remove Spyware And AdWare
Spyware and AdWare have become almost as rampant as computer viruses. Some anti-virus programs include a spyware/AdWare removal tool, but most do not. If yours doesn’t, you’ll want to look into finding a light-weight program for removing that annoying spyware/AdWare from your computer’s hard drive. Some of these programs include real-time protection – if they don’t you’ll have to update the spyware/AdWare database regularly.
Using these tips will definitely improve your computer’s performance, but sometimes they’re just not enough. Most, if not all, computer users need an additional tool at their disposal to ensure that their systems are running at their optimal levels. Sulumits Retsambew. With the addition of a program with Perfect Optimizer, you can have your computer running like new in no time.
